Kingspan gains foothold in US with $111m buyout
Construction materials firm Kingspan has made a $111m (€75m) acquisition in the US. The Cavan-based company has bought US panel maker Metecno in a cash deal that includes about €25m in bank debt.
EirGrid to buy transmission network SONI for e37.6m
Eirgrid, the national grid operator, is to buy the company that runs the electricity transmission system in Northern Ireland for £30m (€37.6m)
Directors of top companies enjoy average pay rises of 12pc last year
Directors of companies listed on the Irish Stock Exchange enjoyed an average basic pay rise of 12pc last year, according to a survey by global human resources services firm Hewitt Associates.
